Pomona agenda puts oak-tree permit and industrial extensions before Planning Commission

The City of Pomona lists a Planning Commission meeting for 7 p.m. in Council Chambers, with the agenda marked final. Its page does not show when the agenda was first published.

A public hearing concerns permit MAJOTP-000283-2026, a request to remove seven oak trees at 878–898 N. Garey Avenue. The agenda says staff recommends approval and Planning Commission Resolution 26-017.

The same agenda lists proposed one-year conditional-use-permit extensions for industrial projects at 1614 S. Reservoir Street (EXT-000282-2026) and 910 E. Second Street (EXT-000281-2026), again with staff recommendations for approval. A Complete Streets Ordinance overview appears separately as a discussion item.

Source limit: These are scheduled items, proposals and staff recommendations. The source does not establish an approval, tree removal, ordinance adoption or vote result; actions and minutes were unavailable at the October 26 check. Recheck the city agenda before attending.

County directs voters to live locator as early vote centers open

According to an October 23 release from the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, 123 vote centers were scheduled to open Saturday, October 24, ahead of the November 3 general election. The release says centers are open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for in-person voting, voter registration and mail-ballot returns.

The registrar directs voters to its live Vote Center Locator for current locations and hours. It also says eligible voters who missed registration may complete Conditional Voter Registration and cast a ballot at any vote center, subject to statewide database validation.

Check the locator: The advance release does not independently confirm that every planned center is operating now. This item does not determine any person’s eligibility or promise that a ballot will be accepted or counted.
